Job Title: Open Enrollment Benefits Specialist (Contract)
Location: On-site – Paramus, NJ
Compensation: Up to $33/hour
Duration: Minimum 4-month contract
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Benefits Specialist to support our Human Resources team during the open enrollment period. This contract role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of employee benefits administration and a passion for helping employees navigate their options with clarity and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the execution of open enrollment activities, including employee communications, benefits education, and system updates.
Provide one-on-one support to employees regarding benefits selections, eligibility, and plan comparisons.
Coordinate with vendors and carriers to ensure accurate enrollment data and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations related to benefits administration (e.g., ACA, COBRA, HIPAA).
Support HR team with data entry, reporting, and auditing of benefits-related information.
Troubleshoot and resolve employee inquiries related to benefits, enrollment, and coverage.
Collaborate with payroll and HRIS teams to ensure seamless integration of benefits data.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in benefits administration, preferably during open enrollment cycles.
Strong understanding of health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule & Commitment:
Full-time, on-site in Paramus, NJ.
Contract duration: At least 4 months, with potential for extension based on business needs.
Pay Details: $28.00 to $33.00 per hour
