Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Western Suburbs

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Senior Accountant to support the efficient operations of a dynamic Finance Department. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for process improvement. The Senior Accountant will oversee key financial transactions, support monthly close and forecasting, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and manage key accounting cycles such as fixed assets, accruals, and payroll entries.
Support the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting activities.
Assist with bi-annual consolidation uploads.
Analyze and reconcile general ledger balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger work papers with supporting documentation.
Generate and distribute weekly and monthly sales and financial reports.
Collaborate with Central Accounting on reporting and inventory valuation.
Maintain and update automated Jet Reports (e.g., North America Daily Sales Report).
Partner with FP&A, Treasury, AP/AR, and other finance functions.
Support internal and external audit preparation and execution.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
Contribute to process improvements and internal control enhancements.
Mentor and support junior finance team members as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or advanced degree a plus).
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
Strong understanding of accrual-based accounting and financial close processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Business Central or Microsoft Navision is a plus.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary Range: $76,000 – $81,000 annually (commensurate with experience and location)
Bonus/Incentive Eligibility: Based on individual and organizational performance
