Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Western Suburbs

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Senior Accountant to support the efficient operations of a dynamic Finance Department. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for process improvement. The Senior Accountant will oversee key financial transactions, support monthly close and forecasting, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage key accounting cycles such as fixed assets, accruals, and payroll entries.

  • Support the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting activities.

  • Assist with bi-annual consolidation uploads.

  • Analyze and reconcile general ledger balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger work papers with supporting documentation.

  • Generate and distribute weekly and monthly sales and financial reports.

  • Collaborate with Central Accounting on reporting and inventory valuation.

  • Maintain and update automated Jet Reports (e.g., North America Daily Sales Report).

  • Partner with FP&A, Treasury, AP/AR, and other finance functions.

  • Support internal and external audit preparation and execution.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.

  • Contribute to process improvements and internal control enhancements.

  • Mentor and support junior finance team members as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or advanced degree a plus).

  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.

  • Strong understanding of accrual-based accounting and financial close processes.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Business Central or Microsoft Navision is a plus.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary Range: $76,000 – $81,000 annually (commensurate with experience and location)

  • Bonus/Incentive Eligibility: Based on individual and organizational performance
