LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to work for a Manufacturing company in the Bohemia, NY area.

This is a Part Time Position. 20-30 hours per week!

This is a role that can start as early on Monday!

Purpose of the Position

The main purpose of this role is to perform day-to-day processing of financial transactions to ensure that the company's customer finances are maintained in an effective, up-to-date, and accurate manner.

Main Duties

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for, but not limited to, the following tasks:

  • Accurately post cash receipts from customers in SAP

  • Monitor and control the Accounts Receivable Aging; distribute monthly statements and proactively follow up on past due or open amounts.

  • Reconcile open items on account; follow up with customers, issue manual invoices/credit memos, and perform account adjustments when necessary.

  • Work with Customer Service in checking/releasing customer orders that are "on hold".

  • Maintain customer database; set up new customers, maintain terms and credit limits, and update billing address changes.

  • Handle freight claim filing and collection.

  • Gather new customer credit information, including credit reports and trade/bank references.

Information and Communication Activities

  • Maintain open and sincere communication both internally and externally with management, colleagues, customers, and potential customers.

  • Provide monthly aging reports to Management with information related to any past due amounts or customer-specific issues.

If you are detail-oriented, have a high degree of accuracy, and have 2-5 yr Accounts Receivable experience in the Manufacturing/Distribution Industry, APPLY NOW.
