Position Summary: As an Accounts Receivable and Collections Associate, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s accounts receivable portfolio, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices, and providing exceptional service to our clients. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable Management: Process and record incoming payments, ensure accurate application of payments to invoices, and maintain accurate accounts receivable records.
Collections: Follow up on overdue invoices, initiate collection efforts, and negotiate payment arrangements with clients to ensure timely resolution.
Customer Communication: Respond to client inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account status. Provide excellent customer service to address any issues or concerns.
Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of accounts receivable and resolve discrepancies or issues as they arise.
Reporting: Generate and analyze reports related to accounts receivable and collections activities. Provide insights and recommendations for improving collection processes.
Collaboration: Work closely with the accounting team, sales department, and other stakeholders to address any issues related to accounts receivable and ensure smooth financial operations.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or a related field.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all financial transactions and records.
Customer Service: Proven ability to handle sensitive financial matters with discretion and professionalism.
