RESPONSIBILITES:

• Develop, qualify and validate manufacturing processes using fluid bed technology for product optimization and new product creation.

• Advance and improve processes used to manufacture granulated, agglomerated and microencapsulated powders for the nutritional, food, beverage and dietary supplement industries

• Responsible for hands-on preparation, operation, troubleshooting, breakdown and cleaning of pilot production equipment in accordance with company standard operating procedures.

• Create process formulations, production batch records and technical reports for granulation, agglomeration, microencapsulation as required for the business.

• Daily interaction with Technical Services and Operations additionally will work closely with the Commercial, Quality & Engineering teams to prepare and conduct feasibility studies, pilot and commercial production

• Propose solutions for manufacturing issues to improve quality, yield, processing time and overall efficiencies, supporting and implementing process and formula revisions as applicable.

• Support simplifying, harmonizing and/or optimizing product formulations by utilizing minimal or best excipient selection and by optimizing manufacturing processes.

• Support equipment transfer and scaleup projects for existing products to maintain or improve production efficiency, quality, and reliability.

• Provide subject matter expertise, input, analysis and problem-solving support relating to raw materials, equipment, and/or processing conditions to improve product quality and plant operations.

• Produce and maintain accurate documentation of projects and processes to provide an accessible knowledge archive for plant, product development and commercial operations.

• Work closely with Commercial, Quality, Operations, Procurement and Maintenance meet project and departmental goals

• Support product development and process technology transfer across multiple production facilities.

• Provide technical support to sales and commercial teams to advance business opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Technical knowledge/skills related to fluid bed granulation, agglomeration, microencapsulation and powder processing technologies

• Demonstrated hands-on experience conducting R&D and commercial scale trials including technology transfer for commercialization
