LHH is currently recruiting an Export Coordinator for a client in the Roswell area of Atlanta. The candidate will manage all transportation and logistics aspects of international orders from US plants to overseas customers.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the export shipment process, including drayage arrangements, and coordinate with internal departments and external vendors (booking, document preparation, tracking, and tracing).
Annually book US export orders with ocean carriers via EDI or email.
Enter booking details into the ERP system and keep them updated with frequent changes.
Collaborate closely with ocean carrier operations and drayage dispatch on EQ (container or chassis) issues.
Timely completion of SEDs and BL instructions.
Partner with the credit team, bank, and customer service to create bank drafts and BL consignment for LCs.
Compile shipment documents (CI, PL, etc from ERP and Ocean BL) and send them to overseas customers.
Work with Customer Service, Logistics, Shipping, and Production to manage load schedule changes (Rolled bookings).
Audit ocean freight invoices before the AP group issues payment.
Maintain SOP (standard operating procedures) and customer profiles, including key contacts, special requirements, and preferred routings/services/carriers.
Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the team, as deemed necessary by the manager.
Monthly maintenance of key performance indicators to track carrier performance and internal order accuracy.
Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree - Preferred.
Successful US-based candidates must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 before the employment start date unless exempted by applicable law.
2+ years of ocean export experience with a freight forwarder or large manufacturer, preferred.
Understanding of INCO TERMS and responsibility for paying freight, preferred.
Knowledge of/familiarity with ocean carrier lines.
Freight forwarding experience, strong knowledge of export, tracking companies.
Hybrid Schedule: 3 Days in Office, 2 Days Remote
Work Schedule: 8AM – 5PM, Monday to Friday
Contract Length: 12 months
Pay Details: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour
