LHH is seeking an experienced an Import Export Specialist to join a wonderful company in Roswell, GA. This role is focused on managing and coordinating all aspects of export shipments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods from our US facilities to international customers. This candidate MUST have strong experience in handling export documentation, including Letters of Credit (LCs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the credit team, customers, and banks to process and manage Letters of Credit (LCs) for international shipments.

  • Ensure all LC terms are clearly understood and met, including delivery timelines, shipping terms, and document requirements.

  • Prepare and review export documents required for LC compliance, including Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and other export documents.

  • Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to LC documentation to ensure payment under the LC and minimize delays.

  • Ensure all export shipments are properly documented and compliant with international trade regulations, including customs documentation, export declarations (SED), and Bills of Lading.

  • Complete all necessary export documents (e.g., commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc.) and send them to overseas customers in a timely manner.

  • Monitor the process to ensure accurate and complete documentation is provided for customs clearance, banking, and customer requirements.

  • Schedule and track the movement of shipments from US plants to overseas destinations, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing delays.

  • Manage the coordination of drayage and inland transportation to ensure that containers and shipments are moved efficiently to port.

  • Review and audit freight invoices related to export shipments for accuracy and compliance with contracted rates.

  • Work with Accounts Payable to ensure timely and accurate payment of shipping invoices after auditing for discrepancies.

  • Coordinate with the bank and credit team to ensure that all export payments under LCs are processed according to the agreed terms.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, International Trade, or related field preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience in export coordination with a focus on Letters of Credit and international logistics.

  • Strong understanding of export documentation, and compliance with international shipping laws.

  • Experience working with banks, LCs, and global shipping carriers is highly preferred.



Pay Details: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour
