LHH is seeking a skilled International Logistics & Export Coordinator to support a thriving organization in Roswell, GA. This full-time, onsite contract role plays a key part in managing the global movement of goods, ensuring seamless coordination from U.S. production facilities to customers worldwide. The position also encompasses oversight of domestic and international shipments, with an emphasis on compliance, documentation, and performance tracking.
Key Duties:
Manage the full lifecycle of export operations, including drayage, carrier bookings, shipment documentation, and real-time tracking.
Coordinate annual export schedules with ocean freight carriers via EDI or email, ensuring timely execution and accuracy.
Update ERP systems with current booking and shipment data, reflecting any changes to international orders.
Prepare and file required export documentation such as Shipper’s Export Declarations (SEDs) and Bills of Lading (BL).
Work cross-functionally with credit, banking, and customer service teams to process Letters of Credit and related paperwork.
Compile and distribute export documents (Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Ocean BLs) to international clients.
Collaborate with internal departments to adjust load schedules and rebook shipments as needed.
Audit and approve ocean freight invoices for accuracy before submission to Accounts Payable.
Maintain and revise SOPs and customer profiles, including routing instructions and contact information.
Monitor and report monthly KPIs related to carrier reliability and order fulfillment accuracy.
Resolve freight billing discrepancies, customs issues, and other logistical challenges to minimize delays and costs.
Investigate and correct purchase order and customs invoice mismatches in the ERP system.
Act as the first point of contact for operational issues such as missed pickups, customs delays, or delivery exceptions.
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and Incoterms.
Support timely customs clearance and optimize documentation for efficient global shipping.
Provide logistics and pricing support to internal stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in export logistics, ideally within a freight forwarding, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
Solid knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and global logistics practices.
Hands-on experience with ocean freight operations, including carrier coordination and drayage.
