Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Specialist to join one of our clients in Roswell, GA. This role is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the movement of goods, managing inventory, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of shipments. The ideal candidate will have experience with transportation management systems (TMS), strong communication skills, and a passion for operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate daily logistics operations including shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
Manage full truckload (FTL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
Monitor and update transportation schedules, resolving any delays or issues.
Collaborate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to streamline logistics workflows.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and logistics documentation.
Utilize TMS or similar software to track and optimize freight movements.
Support export shipping activities and ensure compliance with international shipping regulations (if applicable).
Analyze logistics data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve service levels.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation coordination.
Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Knowledge of export documentation and inventory control is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
Familiarity with DOT and international shipping regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Experience with Microsoft Excel
Location:
Hybrid Schedule: 3 days onsite in the office and 2 days remote each week.
Pay Details: $28.00 per hour
