Job Title: Member Services Manager
Location: Roseville, CA (100% In-Office)
Pay Rate: $25-30 per hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Member Services Manager to join our team in Roseville, California. Under the direction of the Director of Marketing & Communications, this role serves as a critical liaison between the organization and its members. In collaboration with marketing and fundraising teams, the Member Services Manager will develop and execute strategies to increase member engagement, retention, and revenue.
The ideal candidate will be data-driven with a passion for delivering an exceptional member experience. You will manage the membership database, oversee direct mail campaigns, generate key insights, and support internal teams with essential reporting and data coordination. This is a high-impact role with the potential to grow into a supervisory position in the future.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Member headcount
Member retention
Member satisfaction
Net revenue generated from marketing mailers
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the membership CRM database (DonorPerfect), ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Coordinate and execute strategic mailings and email campaigns for member renewals, fundraising, and outreach.
Align CRM and website transactional data (e.g., GiveCloud); set up SKUs and manage coding for accurate reporting.
Develop and distribute surveys to gather member feedback and support data-informed strategy development.
Generate and analyze membership reports to inform acquisition, retention, pledge activity, and campaign performance.
Manage lifecycle communications and fulfillment of membership benefits, including pledge reminders and member recognition items.
Respond to member inquiries professionally and promptly via phone, email, and written correspondence.
Collaborate with internal teams to provide accurate member data for events, marketing, publications, and fundraising efforts.
Support additional projects and duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Passion for conservation and the outdoors.
Supportive of hunting and related activities.
3+ years of experience in nonprofit membership, donor services, development, or similar roles.
Strong data management and reporting skills, ideally with DonorPerfect or similar CRM.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration, public administration, or a related data field.
Strategic mindset with a strong ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Strong interpersonal skills and a solution-oriented attitude.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
Experience optimizing membership or direct mail campaigns.
Familiarity with membership analytics, segmentation, or modeling.
Background in conservation, nonprofit, or outdoor-related organizations.
Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Constant Contact).
Familiarity with survey tools (e.g., SurveyMonkey).
Pay Details: $24.00 to $30.00 per hour
