Job Posting: Administrative Support Specialist

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Location: Sacramento, CA

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in program budget development and administration.

  • Track and process invoices, collections, and departmental expenses.

  • Provide administrative support, including document preparation, meeting coordination, and minute-taking.

  • Maintain and update records, databases, and filing systems.

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, events, and travel arrangements.

  • Draft, proofread, and edit various documents and presentations.

  • Respond to inquiries and provide customer service to staff, vendors, and the public.

  • Monitor and order office supplies and process purchase requisitions.

  • Update website content and ensure compliance with organizational standards.

  • Analyze procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher in business administration, management, finance, accounting, or a related field.

  • At least three years of progressive administrative experience, preferably in education, legislative, or non-profit settings.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.

  • Proficient in modern office practices and computer applications, including MS Office Suite and database management.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information:

  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.

  • This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
