We are actively looking to add an Accounts Payable Specialist (entry level) to our accounting department in our growing Sacramento, CA office!

We're a national building materials and construction company and are looking for a candidate who is looking for long term professional growth. Our office and industry are growing rapidly and we need some long-term help! Our organization prides itself on developing current skill sets and helping our employees grow within the company.

We're ideally looking for a recent Accounting graduate or even a candidate who is currently pursuing their degree. Our plan for this role is to start the candidate in the AP department, move them on to a Staff Accountant-In-Training role in short order and ultimately to Staff Accountant.

• This is a contract to hire role
• The compensation for the role is $21-$23/hr DOE.
• We are currently working an in-office schedule.

Responsibilities

• Processing accounts payable invoices
• Matching purchase orders, coding invoices
• Perform weekly check runs
• Helping with expense report processing
• Assisting with General Ledger reconciliations for month end and producing reports for management

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Associates Degree in Accounting required
• Must have highly developed data entry skills
• Knowledge of construction accounting a big plus
• Intermediate Excel knowledge required (either academic or practical)
