HR & Payroll Specialist | Sacramento
LHH is seeking a detail-oriented HR & Payroll Specialist in the Sacramento area. Our ideal candidate is an experienced HR professional with expertise in payroll processing, compliance, and employee relations. If you are organized, analytical, and passionate about supporting employees, we want to hear from you!
Location: Sacramento
Work Type: Contract to Hire
Compensation: $24 - $30 /hr, based on experience
Responsibilities:
Process payroll for all employees accurately and in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
Maintain accurate employee records, including payroll and benefits information.
Administer employee benefits and handle related inquiries.
Assist in onboarding new employees, ensuring proper documentation and system setup.
Support HR functions such as performance management, training, and compliance.
Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee concerns.
Generate reports related to payroll, benefits, and HR metrics.
Stay updated with labor laws and HR best practices.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in payroll processing and HR functions.
Knowledge of federal and California state labor laws.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
