Medical Customer Service Representative
Onsite in Sacramento, CA 95833
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8a - 5p
Pay Range: $18 - $21 (dependent on incoming experience)
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare related customer service and medical call center experience. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional service and support.
Responsibilities:
Addressing incoming calls regarding member eligibility, benefits, provider information, billing, medical claims, status, and clinical and pharmacy needs.
Coordinating member plan requirements, such as changing a Primary Care Provider or assisting with clinical/pharmacy matters.
Documenting and handling appeals and grievances according to protocols and assisting with research and resolution.
Investigating and confirming claims/billing issues and resolving them promptly according to department procedures.
Reviewing and analyzing member claims for accuracy and educating members on how their benefits apply.
Requirements:
Prior experience as a Customer Service Representative in a medical call center environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to handle a high volume of calls in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in using computer systems and software related to customer service.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications will be a plus.
Pay Details: $18.00 to $21.00 per hour
