Medical Office Administrator (Contract)
Location: West Sacramento, CA (May float to a 2nd close office to help out)
Type: Full-Time, Contract (LOA Coverage – possible extension, permanent placement not guaranteed)
Pay Rate: $20–24/hr DOE
Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
About the Role:
We’re seeking a Medical Office Administrator to join a high-paced clinic environment supporting patients in recovery. This is a front office-focused administrative position requiring strong interpersonal skills, excellent organizational habits, and comfort working with a sensitive population. You'll be responsible for intake support, appointment scheduling, and maintaining patient records, under the guidance of the Clinic Manager and various clinical leads.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors professionally and promptly
Manage high-volume phone calls courteously
Schedule intakes and psychiatric appointments
Maintain accurate administrative and patient records (including EHR)
Collect and upload intake documents into EHR systems
Verify and check patient identification
Respond to patient and staff requests with excellent customer service
Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards
Support intake, fiscal, and discharge QA processes
Screen and direct all individuals entering the clinic
Perform general clerical and receptionist duties
Assist with file maintenance and secretarial duties as assigned
Must-Haves:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Tech-savvy and comfortable navigating EHR systems
Reliable and punctual
Medical front office experience required
Comfortable working with clients in recovery
Medical Assistant (MA) background preferred but not required
Ability to multitask and follow directions from multiple supervisors
Pay Details: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour
