Are you a self-starter with a proven track record in payroll supervision? We are looking for a confident and experienced individual to step into a leadership role with a company in Sacramento, CA. This role is in office daily. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Payroll, Accounts Payable and all g/l reconciliations needed to support the month end close for AP and Payroll.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement efficient payroll systems.
Coordinate timekeeping systems and oversee payroll changes and system upgrades.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax obligations.
Manage garnishments, wage deductions, and administer retirement plans and other employee benefits.
Process and reconcile payroll to ensure accuracy.
Prepare and review payroll reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Supervise and coach payroll staff to maintain high performance and compliance.
Liaise with auditors for payroll tax audits and resolve discrepancies.
Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to streamline payroll procedures.
Qualifications:
· Payroll experience at least 2 years
· Human Resources and Benefits Experience 1 year
· Software: Payroll experience with UKG & Sage
· Leadership experience: No less than 3 years.
