Do you have at least three years of experience as a staff accountant? Do you have non-profit industry experience? We are looking for an accounting professional for an opportunity in Sacramento, CA. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.

  • Prepare and post journal entries for various transactions.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Assist with accounts payable and billing.

  • Ensure compliance with non-profit accounting standards and regulations.

  • Assist with budget preparation and monitoring.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • At least three years of experience as a staff accountant or in a similar role, preferably in a non-profit organization.

  • Strong understanding of non-profit accounting principles and regulations.

  • Proficiency in accounting software Quick Books is a plus

  • Experience with grants and budget management.

  • Experience with grant billing for state and federal grants.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
