About the Role:
LHH has partnered with a prominent organization in Sacramento, CA, to find a highly skilled and versatile Systems Administrator for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is essential for the management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a diverse range of critical IT infrastructure components that support the organization’s complex operations.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with multiple systems, including Tanium, CradlePoint, Duo, CrowdStrike, Splunk, Check Point, F5, and Cisco network infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and security of these systems, coordinating with various departments, and providing critical support during key events.
Key Responsibilities:
Tanium Administration:
Serve as the primary administrator, managing and troubleshooting all Tanium-related issues.
Onboard new users, deploy NSAE applications, and maintain the health of 14,500 endpoint agents.
Assist with patch distribution, deployment troubleshooting, and Tanium appliance infrastructure upgrades.
CradlePoint Administration:
Procure licenses, configure new devices, and manage the lifecycle of all CradlePoint equipment.
Troubleshoot access issues for remote users and upgrade NCOS, firmware, and configurations as needed.
Provide on-call support during critical events, such as elections.
Duo Administration:
Coordinate token distribution and build applications to extend Duo’s functionality for end-users.
Manage user onboarding, troubleshoot issues, and provide support for Duo and MFA-related queries.
CrowdStrike Administration:
Administer endpoint protection policies and deploy clients across various endpoints.
Maintain and troubleshoot CrowdStrike environments for both Commercial and Government clouds.
Splunk Administration:
Oversee the Splunk infrastructure, managing over 21+ Splunk Enterprise instances and a Universal Forwarder on 250+ systems.
Deploy new Splunk instances, onboard log sources, and manage access to Splunk Search Heads.
Check Point Administration:
Manage the Check Point infrastructure that protects the WAN, DMZ, and extranet partners.
Troubleshoot and deploy Check Point instances and administer firewall, identity, and cluster components.
F5 Administration:
Maintain and troubleshoot F5 infrastructure, including load balancing for various applications.
Deploy and upgrade appliances, manage certificates, and configure virtual IPs for new websites.
Cisco Network Administration:
Manage the Cisco network infrastructure across all OSI layers.
Engineer new deployments, troubleshoot existing infrastructure, and design new network environments.

Qualifications:
Experience: Extensive experience in systems administration across multiple platforms, including Tanium, CradlePoint, Duo, CrowdStrike, Splunk, Check Point, F5, and Cisco.
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of network protocols, cybersecurity principles, and IT infrastructure management.
Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to manage and resolve complex technical issues across various systems.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
