This role offers the opportunity to join the executive leadership team, making impactful decisions and leading the direction of the HR department with a dedicated team. Position Overview:
As the HR Manager, you will oversee all aspects of human resources management to ensure the agency’s needs are met while maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role involves managing employee benefits, risk management, compensation, recruitment, selection, performance management, and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities:Administer the agency’s employee benefit program.
Oversee risk management initiatives.
Serve as the agency representative and liaison with union leadership.
Participate actively on the Executive Management Team, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Specific Duties Include:
Analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of HR programs, policies, and practices.
Initiating necessary improvements and recommending new programs to meet agency needs.
Managing the HR team’s workload and performance.
Leading employee and labor relations efforts, including contract negotiations and grievance management.
Ensuring compliance with labor laws and maintaining the agency’s Employee Handbook.
Overseeing the agency’s compensation, recruitment, selection, and performance management programs.
Experience and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Public/Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Minimum four years of management experience, with a strong background in HR management.
Military, Government or Union experience required
Comprehensive knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
Demonstrated ability to manage change, make informed decisions, and lead by example.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships.
General Skills:
Uphold ethical standards and core values of integrity, professionalism, service, and compassion.
Effectively manage teams and workgroups, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and best practices in HR management.
Exhibit flexibility, adaptability, and accountability in all aspects of work.
Benefits:

Compensation: $110K+ DOE experience
