LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Manager to join a dynamic and rapidly growing team in San Diego (UTC) CA. This full-cycle accounting role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced startup environment with the potential for hybrid work arrangements down the road. The anticipated salary for this role is between $80,000-$100,000 a year.
Responsibilities:
· Manage the full accounting cycle, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
· Maintain and update a comprehensive system of accounting policies, procedures, and process documentation
· Prepare and review journal entries to ensure proper general ledger classification
· Lead monthly and quarterly close processes
· Conduct monthly and quarterly analytical reviews to identify variances and trends
· Compile and deliver quarterly financial reporting packages for leadership and stakeholders
· Prepare and review regulatory filings and reports
· Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy across financial statements
· Support the integration and automation of financial systems and applications
· Review SOX documentation and provide guidance on accounting best practices
· Coordinate with internal/external auditors and regulatory bodies, providing all required documentation and support
· Assist with special projects, including complex accounting and financial reporting initiatives
Qualifications:
· Proven experience in full-cycle accounting
· Proficiency with QuickBooks is required
· Familiarity with ADP Run is a plus
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving start-up environment
· Excellent organizational and communication skills
