LHH is currently seeking an Accounting Specialist in San Diego, CA. This Contract to Hire position is on site and requires experience using Netsuite or QuickBooks. In addition, excellent communication skills and the ability to work successfully in a collaborative, team-oriented organization is highly desired. The pay range for this role is between $25-32/hr.

Responsibilities:

· Performs vendor set-up, processes journal entries, and prepares checks

· Maintains vendor files and W-9’s and assists with account reconciliation and 1099 preparation

· Manages funding source balances and reviews coding and ensures the payments meet required fund restrictions

· Audits and reconciles invoices and ensures accuracy in general ledgers

· Ensure proper routing of checks and distribute payments to vendors and clients

· Manages gift card program, disbursement, inventory, security and tracking

· Perform operational support including copying, filing, maintaining logs, ordering supplies, and distributing mail

· Provides support as needed to other departments

Skills and Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong knowledge of Excel and Outlook

· Working knowledge of accounting principles and general bookkeeping is required

· Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information

· Excellent attention to detail

· Multitasker and well organized

· Ability to form positive relationships within all levels in the organization, volunteers, vendors, and donors.
