Position Overview:
Our client is seeking to hire a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team. This role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial transactions of the company, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, handling billing inquiries, and ensuring timely payments and collections. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
Verify and reconcile invoices, statements, and discrepancies.
Prepare and perform check runs, ensuring all payments are processed on time.
Maintain vendor relationships and respond to inquiries regarding payments.
Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past due accounts.
Generate and send out invoices to customers promptly.
Resolve billing issues and discrepancies with customers.
Record customer payments in accounting software and reconcile accounts.
Assist in month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and reporting.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as accounting regulations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of two years in a similar role
Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting roles.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks preferred) and MS Office Suite.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay Details: $27.00 to $30.00 per hour
