LHH is partnering with a well-established and steadily growing distribution company based in San Diego. With a focus on delivering quality products and exceptional service to their customers, they have built a reputation for reliability and excellence in their industry. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team.

Job Description: The detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist will manage our client’s payables process. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors. This role offers a hybrid flexible schedule after a training period.

Responsibilities:

  • Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding and approval.

  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies as needed.

  • Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers.

  • Monitor and maintain vendor accounts, including communication with vendors regarding payment status and inquiries.

  • Process invoices using 2-way and 3-way matching

  • Analyze and review discounts and rebates

  • Assist with month-end close procedures and provide support for audits as necessary.

  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues related to vendor payments and purchases.

  • Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the accounts payable function.

  • Maintain vendor files and update 1099s as needed

  • Assist with annual audit

  • Assist with processing employee expenses

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related financial role preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing invoices and payments.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.



Pay Details: $28.00 to $31.00 per hour
