LHH is partnering with a professional services firm in the heart of San Diego to hire an Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist. Our client is expanding its finance team and is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys building strong relationships with internal teams and external clients.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the full collections cycle, including outreach to clients to ensure timely payments

  • Monitor and analyze aging reports to identify trends and prioritize follow-ups

  • Collaborate with finance leadership and department heads in regular AR review meetings

  • Reconcile client accounts and resolve discrepancies with accuracy and professionalism

  • Generate and maintain reports on receivables performance and cash flow forecasts

  • Coordinate with other internal team members to ensure accurate and timely invoice delivery

  • Maintain thorough documentation of client communications and collection efforts

  • Support special projects and contribute to process improvements

  • Stay informed on industry best practices and ensure compliance with applicable regulations

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable and collections

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and courteous tone

  • Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.); training available for the right candidate

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

  • Familiarity with legal or professional services billing systems is a plus

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
