LHH is partnering with a professional services firm in the heart of San Diego to hire an Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist. Our client is expanding its finance team and is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys building strong relationships with internal teams and external clients.
What You’ll Do
Manage the full collections cycle, including outreach to clients to ensure timely payments
Monitor and analyze aging reports to identify trends and prioritize follow-ups
Collaborate with finance leadership and department heads in regular AR review meetings
Reconcile client accounts and resolve discrepancies with accuracy and professionalism
Generate and maintain reports on receivables performance and cash flow forecasts
Coordinate with other internal team members to ensure accurate and timely invoice delivery
Maintain thorough documentation of client communications and collection efforts
Support special projects and contribute to process improvements
Stay informed on industry best practices and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
What You Bring
3+ years of experience in accounts receivable and collections
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and courteous tone
Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.); training available for the right candidate
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Familiarity with legal or professional services billing systems is a plus
