LHH is seeking a Collections Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a reputable company in San Diego, CA. This role is ideal for a professional with at least two years of experience in accounting and/or collections, though candidates with strong customer service backgrounds will also be considered. This is an immediate opening, offering $24–$30 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

· Process payments and manage collections from customers and businesses

· Monitor accounts receivable (AR) aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts

· Handle returned checks appropriately

· Maintain and organize collection reports

· Perform data entry and assist with general administrative tasks

Qualifications:

· Minimum of two years of experience in accounting and/or collections

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word

· Business-to-business (B2B) collections experience preferred
