Payroll and HR Specialist

Are you a dynamic and experienced Payroll and HR professional looking for an exciting opportunity to shape and lead a team? A well-established construction company in San Diego is seeking a talented individual to join their team and take charge of their Payroll and HR processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Management:
    • Address and rectify payroll discrepancies, particularly focusing on missing fringes and labor audits.
    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees.
    • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
    • Handle payroll-related inquiries and provide support to employees regarding payroll issues.
  • HR Processes:
    • Oversee and manage all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.
    • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
    • Conduct regular HR audits to ensure adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
    • Manage employee benefits programs and handle related inquiries.
  • Team Building:
    • Opportunity to build and lead your own team to ensure success in payroll and HR functions.
    • Provide training and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Experience with ADP software, familiarity with QuickBooks is beneficial
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in shaping the role and team.
  • Experience managing HR responsibilities and processing payroll

Location:
  • San Diego, CA 92154

Schedule:
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday
  • 8:00am - 5:00pm

Pay Rate:
  • $28 - $35 per hour, depending on experience
