Payroll/Human Resources Generalist

Location: Mission Valley, CA

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes, ensuring a positive employee experience

  • Administer benefits, payroll coordination, and leave management

  • Process full-cycle payroll, handle discrepancies, and ensure accuracy

  • Support employee relations by addressing concerns, mediating conflicts, and promoting a positive workplace culture.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as non-profit regulations

  • Maintain accurate HR records, update policies, and assist with performance management initiatives

  • Coordinate staff training, development programs, and employee engagement initiatives

  • Handle HR inquiries, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and workplace best practices


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required

  • 2+ years of HR experience

  • Experience in processing full cycle payroll

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite


Working Hours:

  • Full-time

  • Onsite

  • Monday- Friday

  • 8:00am-5:00pm PST

  • Located in Mission Valley, San Diego

  • Contract to hire role

  • Compensation: $33.00-$39.00 per hour DOE
