Payroll Specialist

Position Overview: Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to manage payroll operations for their diverse workforce. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Process payroll for over 700 hourly and salaried employees.


  • Review and audit timecards to ensure accuracy.


  • Handle direct deposit requests and manage employee payroll records.


  • Collect and maintain employee data for payroll purposes.


  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.


  • Research and resolve payroll-related issues.


  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding paychecks and deductions.


  • Prepare and audit payroll reports.


Requirements:



  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing.


  • Previous experience with PeopleSoft payroll software is preferred.


  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle confidential information.


  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
