LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a fast-paced organization in Central San Diego. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-volume payroll processing and be highly detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.

Key Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly and/or weekly payroll for 300-500+ employees across multiple departments or locations
Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including wages, bonuses, commissions, and deductions
Maintain and audit employee payroll records for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Review and reconcile timesheets, time-off requests, and attendance data
Manage direct deposits, wage garnishments, and payroll adjustments
Collaborate with HR and accounting departments on payroll-related matters
Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, taxes, and payroll discrepancies
Generate and distribute payroll reports as needed for management and audits
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information at all times
Qualifications:
2–5 years of experience in high-volume payroll processing
Strong knowledge of California labor laws and payroll tax regulations
Proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, or Workday
Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
Working Hours:
Full-time
Onsite
Monday- Friday
8:00am-5:00pm PST
