LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our client’s accounting team in San Diego, CA. This full-time direct hire position is fully onsite. The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing AP/AR processes, analyzing financial reports, assisting with financial decision making, and mentoring accounting staff. The ideal candidate would have 4+ years of accounting experience and excellent analytical skills. Inventory and E-commerce experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

· Reconcile GL accounts

· Lead month-end and year-end close processes

· Prepare and analyze financial reports

· Support leadership with financial decision making, including assisting with budgets and forecasts and analyzing variances

· Identify opportunities for process improvements

· Mentor accounting staff

· Manage AP/AR processes

· Ensure compliance with GAAP accounting principles

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred; CPA or CMA is a plus

· Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role

· Through knowledge of GAAP

· Excellent organizational and communication skills

· Strong analytical skills

· Experience with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis

· Inventory and E-Commerce experience highly preferred
