LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Staff Accountant for our client in San Diego, CA. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers a hybrid work environment, and applicants must live in the Greater San Diego area. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for posting journal entries, reconciling account balances and bank statements, assisting with month-end closure processes, and maintaining the general ledger. One year of experience within the Healthcare industry is preferred.

Responsibilities:

· Post journal entries and ensure accurate account coding

· Process monthly bank reconciliations and reconcile bank statements

· Assist with month-end closure processes

· Prepare ACH, Wires and bank transfers

· Manage fix assets

· Assist with financial audits

· Perform financial analysis and reporting

· Maintain general ledger

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

· Lawson experience preferred

· 1 year of experience in Healthcare industry preferred

· Through knowledge of GAAP and accounting theory

· Excellent communication skills
