Assistant Property Manager (On-Site β Family Housing)
π Location: San Francisco, Ca
π΅ Pay: $26.00/hour DOE
π Schedule: Full-time | On-site
A well-established affordable housing community is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support day-to-day operations at a 92-unit family housing property. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HUD and Tax Credit programs, excellent communication skills, and a passion for resident engagement.
This is an on-site role that works closely with the Property Manager, front desk staff, and maintenance team to ensure smooth operations and a strong sense of community. Individuals with lived experience in affordable housing are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate resident accounts receivable ledgers and assist with documentation
Support leasing efforts from application through move-in
Collect rent and other income, handle deposits, and forward receipts as directed
Provide responsive customer service to residents and visitors
Coordinate resident engagement activities and support community events
Collaborate with on-site teams to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
May be required to work outside of normal business hours to meet property needs
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ year of experience in administrative, office, accounting, or customer service roles
Property management experience, including knowledge of HUD, Tax Credit programs, and relevant housing laws
Familiarity with property management software or real estate applications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to understand and adhere to complex regulatory requirements
Strong attention to detail and organization in managing resident records and payments
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Customer-focused with the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism
Pay Details: $25.00 to $26.00 per hour
