LHH is seeking a commercial attorney who is licensed in Japan to support our well-known client's in-house legal team. This is a fully-remote role, expected to last a year or more.
What You'll Do:
- Provide specialized legal advice and support on commercial matters.
- Work with various departments to ensure adherence to Japanese laws and regulations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
- Offer guidance on Japan's Installment Sales Act when applicable.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their legal needs and provide customized solutions.
Who You Are:
- Must be licensed to practice law in Japan or hold a legal consultant license.
- Must be based in the United States.
- Preferably 5-10 years of commercial legal experience, with a minimum of 2-3 years required.
- Experience with Japan's Installment Sales Act is highly preferred.
- Banking experience is an advantage.
