Job Title: Compensation Analyst

Location: San Francisco, CA

Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and data-driven Compensation Analyst to support our compensation programs and strategies. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with compensation data, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compensation Analysis: Conduct market research and compensation surveys to benchmark positions and analyze competitive compensation practices. Ensure our compensation structure remains competitive and aligns with company goals.

  • Data Management: Maintain and update compensation databases, ensuring accuracy and consistency of compensation data. Generate reports and analyze data to support compensation decision-making.

  • Job Evaluation: Evaluate and classify positions using established job evaluation methodologies. Assist in the creation and maintenance of job descriptions.

  • Salary Administration: Assist in the administration of salary structures, merit increases, promotions, and other compensation adjustments. Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

  • Compensation Consulting: Provide guidance and support to HR business partners and managers on compensation-related matters, including job evaluations, salary recommendations, and market competitiveness.

  • Annual Compensation Review: Support the annual compensation review process, including data preparation, analysis, and implementation of adjustments.

  • Incentive Programs: Assist in the design, implementation, and administration of incentive and bonus programs. Ensure programs are aligned with business objectives and are effectively communicated to employees.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to compensation practices. Stay current on compensation trends and regulatory changes.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve compensation processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Stay updated on industry best practices and recommend changes as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in compensation analysis or a related field.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) designation is a plus.

    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, ADP).

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

    • Strong organizational and project management skills.

    • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Customer-focused with a commitment to providing exceptional service.

    • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
