The position is mostly remote schedule but you must have a willingness and ability to travel to San Francisco for hybrid work every couple weeks during the initial first few months while the company ramps up. Annual Base Salary target is between $140k - $180k depending on experience. If you need a little bit more $ let us know and we can talk about it. Must meet 80% of the below requirements to be considered:

  • Ideally candidate will be from the greater SF, CA Bay Area.

  • Must be able to work a remote schedule and have a willingness and ability to travel to San Francisco for hybrid work every couple weeks during the initial ramp-up period for the startup.

  • 5+ years of strategy & ownership experience as a DevOps Security Engineer (not just support and task execution)

  • 5+ years of experience integrating secure software development life cycles and building CI/CD pipelines and automation tools

  • Must be able to create and automate security check-in within CI/CD pipelines

  • ~5 years of experience with Terraform and Kubernetes/containerization

  • Must have experience scanning and validating infrastructure as Code templates for vulnerabilities before deployment

  • Must have experience with SAST (statistic application security testing), DAST (dynamic application security testing) & penetration testing

  • Must have experience working with Python or another equivalent coding language

  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements (GDPR, CCPA, EU-US data privacy frameworks).

  • Familiarity with ISO certifications and privacy frameworks (ISO 27000, ISO 27701, ISO 42001 for AI) - if not certified, want you to have the ability & willingness to obtain these certifications after joining

  • Ability to work in a highly controlled, regulated environment.

  • Experience with AI/ML environments and identification/agenda AI space.

  • Personality: "Hunger factor" eagerness to learn, adaptability, and a mastery-of-craft mentality – include summary of this in personality section please

  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup culture environment

  • Must be able to pass a background check for onboarding
