HR Manager

Location: San Francisco, Ca

Direct Hire

Pay range: $125-135K

Bilingual in Spanish, SHRM Certified

A prestigious private organization with a long-standing history is seeking a qualified Human Resources professional to join its leadership team. This newly created position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced HR expert who values autonomy, responsibility, and making a meaningful impact in a collaborative setting. The role is a salaried, exempt position responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resource management within a small, dynamic team.

About the Organization

Known for delivering exceptional service, outstanding hospitality, and maintaining a historic facility, the organization supports approximately 80 full-time and 20 seasonal employees across various departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support employee relations, promoting a positive and compliant workplace culture

  • Oversee recruitment and hiring processes from sourcing through onboarding

  • Develop and implement training and employee development programs

  • Ensure legal compliance with employment laws and internal policies

  • Manage benefits administration, employee records, and HR data systems

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary starting at $125,000, with potential adjustments based on experience and qualifications

  • Generous 401(k) retirement plan, including a 3% safe harbor contribution and up to an additional 5% annually (no employee match required)

  • Fully covered health insurance options for individuals, with 75% coverage for dependents across three available plans

  • 100% dental coverage for individuals and 75% for dependents

  • Life insurance coverage up to 2x salary (max $400,000)

  • Long-term disability insurance included

  • Paid vacation time and 9 paid holidays annually

  • Complimentary meals and beverages during work hours

  • Support for continuing education and professional association dues

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HR, including recruiting, training, benefits, performance management, and compliance

  • Associate’s, bachelor’s, or higher degree in a related field required; SHRM or other HR certifications preferred

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills required; fluency in additional languages is a plus

  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills

  • Commitment to professionalism and integrity

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Supervisory experience is a strong asset

  • Experience working with unions is highly preferred

  • Background in hospitality, food service, or similar industries is highly desired

  • Physical ability to perform standard office tasks and respond to urgent needs as required



Pay Details: $125,000.00 to $135,000.00 per year
