Job Description: We're in search of a committed Nonprofit Assistant to join our San Francisco team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in supporting our nonprofit's operations, assisting with administrative duties, program coordination, and donor relations. The ideal candidate will share our passion for our mission, possess strong organizational skills, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.



Responsibilities:




  • Provide administrative support to the executive team and staff, including scheduling meetings, drafting documents, and managing correspondence.


  • Aid in program coordination by organizing events, workshops, and community outreach efforts.


  • Maintain accurate records of program participants, volunteers, and donors using database software.


  • Assist with donor relations activities, including acknowledging donations, sending thank-you letters, and updating donor records.


  • Coordinate logistics for fundraising events, including securing venues, arranging catering, and recruiting volunteers.


  • Support grant research and writing endeavors by gathering information, drafting proposals, and compiling necessary documentation.


  • Manage social media accounts and website content to promote our organization's mission and engage with followers.


  • Assist in preparing for board and committee meetings by drafting agendas, taking minutes, and managing logistics.


  • Handle general office tasks such as answering phones, filing documents, and ordering supplies.


  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to achieve the organization's goals and objectives.



Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, social work, or a related field preferred.


  • Previous experience in a nonprofit or similar setting is advantageous.


  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a knack for prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail.


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management software.


  • Familiarity with social media platforms and website management tools.


  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
