Job Title: Immigration & Global Mobility Specialist
Location: San Jose, CA
Pay: $25–$27 per hour
Contract Position
Job Summary
The Immigration & Global Mobility Specialist plays a key role in navigating complex immigration regulations while delivering a smooth and supportive experience for employees. This position involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders, external counsel, and vendors to manage cases, track timelines, and provide guidance to team members. The Specialist also assists with international expansion initiatives and helps facilitate a range of employment-related mobility services.
Key Responsibilities
Immigration
Manage and track both U.S. and global immigration cases to enable timely processing and compliance with regulations.
Communicate with stakeholders and provide information needed for case filing, responses to requests for additional information, and related documentation.
Develop and streamline processes to aid in optimizing application timelines.
Review applications prepared by outside counsel for accuracy before submission.
Support the recruitment process for employment-based permanent residence cases in coordination with the sponsoring manager, vendors, and the talent team.
Ensure compliance with internal immigration policies and procedures.
Generate and analyze reports related to case metrics and timelines.
Manage cost centers, purchase orders, and payments related to cases in coordination with external counsel.
Travel
Communicate and implement global mobility and travel policies and procedures.
Resolve related inquiries or issues and escalate when necessary.
Provide administrative support for special projects, delivering a high standard of service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Global Expansion
Support administrative tasks related to the establishment of new entities abroad.
Manage cases and communication with employment organizations of record.
Guide employees through the process of securing appropriate visas and work authorization for their country of assignment.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred, with at least 3 years of experience in corporate immigration programs.
Strong knowledge of both nonimmigrant (H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, E-3, B-1) and immigrant (PERM, NIW, EB-1, I-140, I-485, I-765, I-131) visas.
Ability to communicate complex regulations and procedures clearly to stakeholders across the organization.
Solid understanding of human resources processes and a collaborative, adaptable approach to problem-solving.
Excellent project management skills; ability to serve as a point of contact for inquiries.
Proficiency in creating reports, optimizing workflows, and employing standard software platforms.
Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new tools and technologies.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with travel management companies.
Experience working with employment organizations of record (EORs).
Familiarity with platforms like Greenhouse, Amex Travel, or SAP Concur.
Pay Details: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour
