Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a dedicated Medical Scheduler for specialized procedures on behalf of a confidential healthcare provider. This will be a contract role and is pivotal in ensuring seamless coordination of services, maintaining schedules, and fostering effective communication among healthcare providers, patients, and their support groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and Coordination: Manage and maintain scheduling for specialized procedures, coordinating with physicians' offices and related departments. Verify room and equipment availability as needed.

  • Patient Interaction: Gain confidence and cooperation from patients and their families through competent job performance and effective communication.

  • Clerical Duties: Perform general clerical tasks such as answering phones, greeting customers and patients, and preparing accurate job-related documentation.

  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain a clean, neat, and safe working environment. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.

  • Team Collaboration: May be responsible for performing specific tasks and/or orienting other staff to the department.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience.

  • Experience: At least 1 year of recent relevant experience.

  • Skills and Knowledge:

    • Knowledge of medical terminology, including diagnostic tests, surgeries, consultations, and procedures.

    • Ability to interpret various data and instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • General knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.

    • Commitment to maintaining the privacy of patient protected health information (PHI).
