Position Overview: As an Accounts Receivable Coordinator, you will play a vital role in our client’s finance team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer payments, reconciliation of accounts, resolution of account issues, and assistance with various month-end close tasks. You will be responsible for maintaining our client’s accounts receivable aging and actively engaging in collections efforts. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply payments received from customers to their respective accounts accurately and in a timely manner.
Reconcile customer accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
Research and resolve account issues, including billing discrepancies and payment discrepancies.
Process sales and use tax returns in compliance with applicable regulations.
Assist with month-end close duties, including preparing cash and bank reconciliations.
Manage accounts receivable aging and actively pursue collections on past due accounts.
Perform other ad hoc duties and projects as requested by management.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of accounts receivable experience, preferably in a manufacturing or related industry.
Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience working with accounting software such as Sage, NetSuite, Oracle, or similar systems preferred.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent follow-up and follow-through skills.
Professional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
