Do you desire to join a positive team with a great company? LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator for a contract-to-hire position in San Rafael. The Accounts Payable Coordinator handles the entire accounts payable process, including payment approvals, general ledger coding, resolving discrepancies, and keeping accurate records. The role ensures timely payments, prepares monthly accruals, and monitors aging accounts and system issues.

Primary Objectives:

  • Process payables accurately and on time.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and authorization requirements.

  • Maintain accurate data entry and record keeping.

  • Resolve aging items and discrepancies through effective communication.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process vouchers and invoices.

  • Obtain payment approvals following internal controls.

  • Code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts.

  • Prepare batches for payment processing and match payments with invoices.

  • Keep accurate records in the system and perform data entry for vendor information.

  • Monitor payables, perform aging audits, and follow audit procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with vendor requirements and company guidelines.

  • Maintain contact with agents and service providers regarding payment status.

  • Support company goals in all customer interactions.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with some college-level math or accounting coursework.

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of accounts payable and invoice processing.

  • Proficiency in 10-key and typing speed of 35 WPM.

  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.

  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and listening).

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), but advanced skills preferred.

Pay Details: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour
