Temporary Housing Specialist – Santa Barbara, CA

About the Role:

LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Temporary Housing Specialist to support a mission-driven organization in Santa Barbara. In this role, you'll be the key liaison between the organization and local landlords/property managers to secure permanent housing options for individuals and families experiencing homelessness — including veterans and youth.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for housing stability and community engagement who thrives in a field-based, relationship-building position.

Schedule:


Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to attract new landlords to the program.

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing landlords to encourage continued participation.

  • Build and grow partnerships with property owners and management companies to secure rental units across Santa Barbara County.

  • Coordinate the housing process from locating units to lease-up, ensuring a smooth and timely experience for both landlords and internal teams.

  • Conduct property inspections in line with agency and funding guidelines.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to align housing opportunities with client needs and preferences.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in housing navigation, property management, case management, or community outreach.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Comfortable working in the field and directly with landlords, property managers, and housing partners.

  • Familiarity with Santa Barbara housing markets is a plus.

  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple moving parts.



Pay Details: $24.00 per hour
