Overview:
The Electrical Project Engineer will be responsible for leading the design and engineering of electrical systems for a range of commercial, educational, and healthcare projects from concept through construction.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the electrical engineering design process, including the development of construction documents.
Collaborate with clients and coordinate with internal teams and external consultants.
Ensure integration of electrical systems with other disciplines.
Conduct site visits during both design and construction phases to assess and review system installations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required.
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
Relevant experience in the design of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required.
Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including:
Codes: NFPA 70, NFPA 72, NFPA 99, NFPA 101, International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), International Building Code (IBC).
Standards: IES, IEEE, UL, NECA.
Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and team members.
