Job Title: Accountant
Location: Remote within AZ (Team meets in Scottsdale occasionally)
Compensation: $70,000–$100,000 + 401k Matching + Unlimited PTO
Employment Type: Direct-hire
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Accountant to join a dynamic and mission-driven finance team. This role is ideal for a professional with 3–5 years of accounting experience and a strong foundation in GAAP, general ledger management, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring a team-first mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and record financial transactions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger entries
- Reconcile and balance accounts, including bank statements, and ensure accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and reports for management review
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and journals
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure data integrity
- Support audits and tax filings; partner with external auditors as needed
- Collaborate with leadership to establish accounting priorities and support strategic goals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience
- CPA preferred but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Solution 7 strongly preferred
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Additional Information:
- Fully remote role with occasional team meetups (typically in Scottsdale, AZ)
- Standard schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (AZ time)

Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
