Job Title: Accountant

Location: Remote within AZ (Team meets in Scottsdale occasionally)

Compensation: $70,000–$100,000 + 401k Matching + Unlimited PTO

Employment Type: Direct-hire

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Accountant to join a dynamic and mission-driven finance team. This role is ideal for a professional with 3–5 years of accounting experience and a strong foundation in GAAP, general ledger management, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring a team-first mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and record financial transactions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger entries
  • Reconcile and balance accounts, including bank statements, and ensure accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and reports for management review
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and journals
  • Develop and implement internal controls to ensure data integrity
  • Support audits and tax filings; partner with external auditors as needed
  • Collaborate with leadership to establish accounting priorities and support strategic goals

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Solution 7 strongly preferred
  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Additional Information:

  • Fully remote role with occasional team meetups (typically in Scottsdale, AZ)
  • Standard schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (AZ time)
  • Unlimited PTO, 401(k) with match, and comprehensive benefits package


Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
