You will work with a small accounting team so you would be reviewing the work of a few others, but you wouldn’t have to take on direct supervisory responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of progressive accounting experience and previous experience with ERP software systems. This role is fully onsite in Seattle, WA.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring they are accurate, timely, and comply with GAAP standards.

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis to support business planning.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
  • Liaise with external auditors during annual audits, ensuring timely and accurate documentation and responses to inquiries.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function and implement best practices.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of accounting software and systems.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, and ideally some previous managerial experience.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
