LHH is partnering with a small company that is looking for an Accounting Specialist to handle payroll and AP tasks. This role is fully onsite in Seattle, WA but free parking is offered. You will be managing invoice processing, paying vendors, and processing payroll. Since you will be the point of contact for internal employees, it’s important to have professional communication and strong customer service skills. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of either accounts payable or payroll experience. The manager is willing to train this individual fully. Responsibilities
  • Process and manage payroll operations for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Handle accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and reconciliations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal employee inquiries related to payroll and accounts payable.
  • Maintain organized records of financial transactions and support documentation.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures as needed.
  • Coordinate with vendors and resolve any payment or billing discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members and management to improve processes and workflows.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience in payroll processing or accounts payable functions.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and relevant regulations.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for effective teamwork and vendor relations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
