LHH is looking for a full-time Accounts Payable Accountant to join our client growing company in Seattle, WA. This position will be a 6-month contract that is fully onsite at the client location.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and review vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper approvals.
Reconcile AP accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
Maintain accurate and organized AP records and documentation.
Manage vendor relationships and respond to inquiries regarding payments.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
Monitor AP aging reports and manage payment schedules.
Work closely with procurement and other departments to streamline AP processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in [specific industry, e.g., manufacturing, construction, healthcare].
Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
Familiarity with 1099 processing and tax compliance related to AP.
Compensation: $30-$35/hour DOE
