LHH is looking for a full-time Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our client growing company in Seattle, WA. This position will be a 6-month contract that is fully onsite at the client location.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, payment processing, account reconciliation, and reporting. This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy of financial records, maintaining healthy cash flow, and fostering strong relationships with clients.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Accounts Receivable Management

  • Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices.

  • Monitor outstanding receivables and proactively follow up on overdue accounts.

  • Post customer payments and allocate them to the correct accounts.

  1. Account Reconciliation

  • Reconcile accounts receivable balances to the general ledger.

  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

  1. Reporting and Analysis

  • Generate and analyze accounts receivable aging reports.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts receivable reports for management review.

  1. Customer Communication

  • Communicate with clients regarding invoicing, payments, and account discrepancies.

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to address and resolve customer billing issues.

  1. Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve the accounts receivable process and implement best practices.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS).

  1. Audit Support

  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.


Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

  • 2-4 years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Compensation: $32-$38/hour DOE
