LHH is looking for a full-time Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our client growing company in Seattle, WA. This position will be a 90-day contract that is fully onsite at the client location.

Job Summary

The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for managing incoming payments, processing accounts, and ensuring efficient and accurate record-keeping. This role requires excellent attention to detail, effective communication, and a strong commitment to financial accuracy. You will work closely with the accounting team to streamline billing, collections, and other accounts receivable functions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process and manage invoices: Generate, verify, and distribute accurate customer invoices in a timely manner.

  • Monitor accounts receivable: Track and reconcile incoming payments, ensuring that transactions are recorded correctly.

  • Collections: Follow up on overdue payments through calls, emails, and other communications to ensure prompt payment.

  • Maintain records: Update and maintain financial records, including customer files, payment statuses, and transaction logs.

  • Assist with reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly aging reports and assist with end-of-month accounts receivable close processes.

  • Coordinate with internal teams: Work closely with sales, customer service, and other departments to resolve any billing disputes or issues.

  • Support compliance: Ensure that all AR activities comply with financial policies and regulations.


Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting.

  • Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.

  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.

Compensation: $30-$35/hour DOE
