LHH is looking for a full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our client growing company in Seattle, WA. This position will be a 90-day contract that is fully onsite at the client location.
Job Summary
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will oversee and coordinate all aspects of the accounts receivable function. This includes managing customer accounts, tracking outstanding balances, and ensuring timely collections while maintaining strong customer relationships. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting our cash flow.
Key Responsibilities
Invoice Management: Prepare, send, and follow up on invoices to ensure accuracy and timely distribution.
Payment Processing: Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions; manage accounts receivable ledger.
Collections and Follow-up: Proactively contact clients with overdue balances and resolve any billing issues, including negotiating payment arrangements.
Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and investigate payment discrepancies to ensure balances align.
Customer Communication: Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing, payments, and account issues promptly and professionally.
Reporting: Prepare and maintain monthly AR aging reports, track collections metrics, and report on accounts receivable performance.
Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and legal requirements, ensuring that receivables processes align with financial regulations.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting, with a strong understanding of accounts receivable processes.
Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of transactions accurately.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to negotiate effectively with clients.
Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
Compensation: $30-$35/hour DOE
